This year Futures embarked on a journey of discovery with three other housing associations working across Eastern Southern and Central England, bpha and Flagship Group.
Recognising how much we had in common, particularly our focus on customers, the ambition was to go into partnership to create a brand new 60,000 home association.
Talks began in April and plans were falling into place. But unfortunately the Autumn brought major economic changes to the UK which the three organisations' Board each felt undermined the potential to achieve the goals the partners had set themselves.
This was disappointing as all the potential partners felt that coming together was a great opportunity to do more for our customers. However we have built some great new allies through the project and learned a great deal from our potential partners that will help shape and improve the work we do in the years ahead.
