In September 2022, a group of fantastic team members from Futures got their boots on and completed an impressive challenge to raise money for three charities.
Lindsey Williams, our Chief Executive, took on the role of President for the East Midlands Chamber in December 2021. This gave her the privilege of selecting three charities to inspire fundraising efforts during her tenure. Lindsey chose:
- Focus, a charity supporting young people’s mental health
- Treetops Hospice, working with people with terminal illness and their families, and
- Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, protecting Nottinghamshire’s wildlife, restoring biodiversity and inspiring people to learn more about the natural world.
In support of Lindsey's fundraising campaign, on 1 September seventeen volunteers joined forces to tackle 12 miles and a huge 2,500ft ascent in the Peak District. The challenge covered three summits – including Grindslow Knoll and Kinder Low, Kinder Scout and Mam Tor on the Great Ridge.

Over the course of the year that Lindsey was President, Futures donated a phenomenal £17,500 to the three charities, showing an amazing dedication to such important and lifechanging causes.
