We're excited to announce we jointly won the 'Collaborative Working' award with Amber Valley Borough Council and Westville LTD in March this year for our successful retrofit works.
After being granted funding by the Local Authority Delivery (LAD) scheme from Amber Valley Borough Council, we've worked together to improve the energy efficiency of not just our customers' homes, but our communities' homes too. It's brilliant to be recognised for the work this project has delivered, where all upgraded homes went from below EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) D to C and above!
David Houghton, Assets Project Manager; “The award was a fantastic achievement for all involved and very well deserved. It’s a testament to the close working relationship and commitment between Amber Valley Borough Council and Futures.
"Our combined goal to improve the carbon footprint of both social housing and privately owned dwellings continues in Amber Valley, as we try to reduce the energy bills for those living in older and less thermally efficient properties.”
We were also shortlisted for 'Best Local Authority or Social Housing Retrofit Programme' at The Retrofit Academy Awards for this same project too. While we didn't win this, we were up against some national names, so it was still a real big achievement in itself to be shortlisted.
